描述： AFLIMBA is a creative craft space for elevating rural craftsmanship and improving the livelihood of rural artisans starting from Rwanda. AFLIMBA was established officially in early 2018 after realizing that despite the talents and skills rural artisans have, they do not have access to the market, financing, and information about the latest trends. It was founded by Plante Josue who happens to be an entrepreneur, a creative, and a tech-enthusiast. He grew up in the suburbs of Kigali, in a community full of artisans who make little or no money from their craft, his mother included. Majoring in business at an American accredited university and volunteering in artisans’ markets opened his eyes, and from there he found a solution for the rural artisans and those who aspire to be and make a living out of it. Our mission is to produce and deliver the finest handcrafted bags (we call them "Limbags") to the world – one person, one country at a time - while providing technical skills and employment opportunities to rural artisans. Our vision is: Financially and intellectually improving lives of rural artisans by providing technical skills and employment opportunities. In 2022, we pushed our creative boundaries a step further towards making products that are meaningful and useful to the environment, Kinstugi limbags project was born. Kintsugi limbags are made with the primary intention of being environmentally conscious and making the earth greener by putting harmful waste to use. Our artisans re-purpose the dumped pairs of jeans into world-class quality bags. Denim fabrics (fabrics that make jeans) are one of the least eco-friendly clothing fabrics. Though they are harmful, jeans remain the cornerstone of just about any wardrobe. Hundreds of millions of them are produced and sold every year, that’s why AFLIMBA took the initiative of extending the life of their waste by re-purposing them into bags.
