描述： I have two great loves in life: culture and science. I love speaking to people, hearing their experiences and learning about how they think, plus I <3 travel and trying new things (yep, that's an emoticon). Secondly I love science, in all its glory. I love data, making maps and playing with GIS, but most of all I love getting into the field, on the rocks, and collecting data together with my colleagues. Its awesome. Also, I heart objective data :) more than subjective data :( Geology faces a lot of challenges- both culturally and scientifically. Its plagued by fractured teams, spread out over the world, having to working outside of their comfort zones. We're also data poor- 300 years after being conceived as one of the first four industrial sciences, we have fallen behind. Struggling to understand the world's biggest experiment: Earth. Everything I like to do comes into at least one of these two groups. If you like them too we should probably meet!
